Find The Answer To Your Questions, From The Basics All The Way To Advanced Troubleshooting

‘Enterprise messaging’ refers to businesses sending SMS to one or more recipients via Enterprise messaging service providers such as Trustsignal. Enterprise messaging can scale up to millions of recipients in the case of informational or promotional broadcasts. Alternatively, Enterprise messaging can also mean individual SMS sent to customers upon an action e.g. receiving an alert on online purchase/registering to any app/transactions from bank. All these activities can be easily carried out from Enterprise messaging service providers as they allow businesses to create, schedule, send and track campaigns.
Enterprise messaging is used by SMBs, global enterprises, developers, educational institutes, NGOs and government agencies for product promotions, informational communications, transactional alerts, order updates, reminders, feedback and more.

In today’s mobile world, SMS beats all the other channels hands down with 97% open rates (vs 10%-30% open rates for email and social media channels) and ten times the response rate. By embedding actionable links within the message, Enterprise messaging can even help improve conversion rates across the customer lifecycle – acquisition, engagement and retention.

TRAI has notified “The Telecom Commercial Communication Customer Preference Regulations, 2010” classifying text messages as per the intent or nature of content within the text messages. Here is an easy summary:

Transactional VS Promotional

Following are the listed differences between Transactional and Promotional routes:

TransactionalPromotional
1. These can be used for sending any type of information. Ex. Order updates, Bank Transactions etc.1. These are specifically used for
marketing purposes.
Ex. Sale, Offers etc.
2. Transactional SMS
can be sent any time
2. Promotional SMS are sent
between 10 AM to 9 PM only
3. SMS can be sent on DND numbers3. SMS cannot be sent on DND numbers
4. In API ( Transactional )4. In API ( Promotional )

There is one more route ( SendOTP route) which is for SendOTP. if you are looking for OTP services, we would suggest you opt for SendOTP because it has various advantages over the traditional transactional route:
1) Voice backup for failed SMS OTP, on our cost.
2) We generate the OTP on your behalf, we send and we verify. You just have to call the APIs.
3) The backend algorithm makes sure that the OTP is processed from our end in less than half-a- second.

We have all the Operators, but for DLT Registration, we recommend Videocon, Airtel, and Reliance Jio, as they are Fast for our clients. Although, they are imposing charges to register. Kindly apply on all three simultaneously, so that you can get the Header Approved on at least one of them, and then your SMS will not be impacted.
